dc.description.abstractThe present work has as objective to accomplish a qualitative and quantitative analysis and simulation of the full-bridge converter and boost converter as rectifier, applied combined as a power supply with galvanic isolation and power factor correction for driving a separately excited DC motor, which will also be analysed. A study of DC/DC converters and principles for driving DC motors is presented. Furthermore, methods for calculating the magnetic elements within the converters, protection and safety techniques. Information about the integrated circuits, auxiliary power source applied and the pre-load circuit are also present. The complete project’s circuit will be validated through simulations, exploring the entire region of operation intended.
