dc.description.abstract | This work presents the methodology and practice for the project of synchronous generators. For this, concepts of mini, micro and small hydropower plants, applicable legislation, types of turbines, technical choice of turbines and ways of estimating hydroelectric potential are presented. Besides that, the synchronous generator is presented, demonstrating its constructive characteristics, operating principle and forms of excitation. After this, the required equations for the design of a synchronous generator are presented to show how to calculate the main dimensions of the rotor and stator and its electrical parameters. Afterwards, the project specifications, factors and imposed parameters were presented and, with this, it was possible to project two synchronous generator meeting all the specifications. For the validation of these projects, the finite element method was applied using EFCAD Software simulations. Finally, a comparison was made between the two projects, trying to demonstrate their main differences and the solutions of the problems initially encountered. | |
