In this work, we present shown the development of an algorithm, capable to segment the electromyographic signal in order to refine muscle fatigue analysis. The method consists of the signal pre-processing using a segmentation technique, where the silence of regions are removed, leaving only the region with relevant information for analysis. In the processing step, we used a software called EMG Signal Processing, which applies the wavelet transform to the signal to obtain the median frequency as an indicator of muscle fatigue. The results of the segmentation algorithm presented a correct window selection over 95%. The segmentation of the electromyographic signal brought a better approximation to the value of the median frequency compared to the original signal, therefore, we conclude that the signal segmentation can be used to refine the muscular fatigue analysis with electromyography signals.
