dc.description.abstractIn a competitive scenario in which continuous improvement is a major factor for reducing industrial costs and consequently the survival of companies, one of its main difficulties is to share information with its employees, which are both effective and simple, and which become qualified knowledge oriented towards decision making and management. Thus, the present study aims to analyze visual management techniques in a large metal mechanical industry, within a high- pressure molding line, contemplating systematic meetings with the purpose of routine management and improvement of performance indicators. This objective aims to contribute in managerial terms to monitor the performance indicators of a specific metallurgical department using the OEE methodology. To this end, a feasibility study was carried out to implement visual management techniques and routine management to optimize and standardize the relevant information in the section under study. In methodological terms, the study is characterized by its combined nature, that is, it is qualitative and quantitative. In addition, it is important to mention in terms of results that the project allowed to verify that through the studied techniques the presented result was satisfactory in the increase of OEE and that the collaborators showed themselves with a greater engagement in the way of controlling the indicators, being able to show their work in routine meetings, facilitating communication between employees and the department management. Regarding the need to develop future studies, it is necessary to implement the management in the cells of the sections, considering each machine, detailing and filtering the indicators to show the result of the local machine, thus making management focused, enabling even more expressive results.
