Riscos associados ao corte semimecanizado de florestas plantadas de pinus

Abstract

He present work had the general objective to investigate the risks associated with semimechanized cutting of pinus forests. The methodology consisted of a bibliographic review about the chainsaw and its use and data collection at the field level. The data were collected in April / May 2019, through a questionnaire prepared for this research and applied to 11 chainsaw operators directly at the work fronts, located in the municipality of Doutor Ulysses, Paraná state. It was evaluated the time of profession of each operator, level of schooling, aspects related to training, incidents and accidents during the operation and about the knowledge and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). As a result we obtained that a significant portion of these operators has low level of education; a part of them only received training after already working as a chainsaw operator; much of it has experienced some incident during the operation with the equipment; a significant portion of them already suffered an accident due to the use of the chainsaw with a break from their professional activities and that all use PPE, but that part of them did not receive training to do so.
