Dimensionamento de moto bomba movida a um motor de combustão interna para alimentação de caldeira

Abstract

This paper presents a study carried out with the objective of making a pump sizing project to replenish a boiler that works without the need for electricity, with the purpose of promoting an emergency exit to a narrow situation, avoiding downtime of the production system of a dairy company located in southwestern Paraná. It presents theoretical concepts of steam boilers, internal combustion engines and water pumps, as well as all the theoretical calculations necessary to find essential data for equipment sizing. In the end, we present as a result pumps and motors found in supplier catalogs as well as a 2D boiler house layout where the pumping system is present, identifying that the pump and motor dimensions are suitable for on-site installation without the need for structural reforms
