dc.description.abstractNowadays, we have been looking for continuous improvement by companies that are keen for competitiveness and quality. In this context, a stage of production that was not given so much importance in the past has been gaining investments in order to achieve excellence, with shorter times to execute the activity, as well as quality and accuracy in its execution. This stage refers to the set-up of the production, and if it is not carried out in a planned, standardized way and following a method, most of the time it is demanded a high time for its execution, or even it generates unnecessary stops in the especially in the Rotomolding process where there are not as many methods as in other plastic parts modeling processes. Exception to the fact, is the execution of set-ups by operators who learned from their mistakes in many years of experience and are still liable to make mistakes, which are increasingly difficult to find in the productive area. So why count on luck and not follow methods and tools that help you perform a good set-up? The answer to this question will be answered even more easily after reading this work, where the development of a low-cost and easy-touse computational tool with great contributions to the planning and execution of a carousel type Rotomolding machine set-up, which requires less time and higher quality in its execution.
