Analise preliminar de risco na atividade de remoção de tanque subterrâneo de armazenamento de gasolina

Abstract

The retail activity of automotive fuels comprises the acquisition and storage of automotive fuels in tanks through systems SAAC - Air Storage System and SASC - Underground Storage System. One of the stages of bigger risk concern is associated with the demobilization of these systems, especially the SASC i.e. when it is necessary excavate and remove of underground storage tanks from fuel stations retailers. In this study are raised Brazilian legislation or rules for the implementation of this activity, as well as the Brazilian and North American rules and laws regarding safety issues associated with this activity. The objective of this study was to conduct a Preliminary Risk Analysis - APR of this activity, by individual tasks, identifying the main risks such as physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic and accidents for each task, propose protective actions for these risks in order to have them eliminated or mitigated and at the end to evaluate de efficiency of this APR. After the APR, a total of 77 risks were identified for this activity, in which 52% were eliminated, 44% had their risk level reduced to the level considered safer and 4% had their high risk level reduced to a moderate risk level after the protection actions proposed.
