This thesis analyzes discoursive constructions about the labor and the brazilian workers present in journalistic contents that won journalism awards promoted by the brazilian Public Prosecution Service and by the brazilian Regional Labor Courts. To compose the research corpus, formed by ten award-winning articles, the study maps the journalism contests with this theme held in Brazil until 2017 and identifies that these awards constitute a public relations action that highlights the political and administrative strategy adopted by promoters of the events, linked to the constitutional objectives of these public entities and, therefore, aligned with the defense of the democratic state of law. Research shows that the jurisdictional system of labor acts as a device that imposes limits on the momentum for the continuous acceleration of the rate of capital reproduction. In this sense, it warns that neoliberalism, the preferred ideology of capital at the beginning of this century, acts as a centripetal force that intends discourses and interferes with the reality of work in Brazil, structuring axiological positions that presuppose the growing overexploitation of the workforce. In this context, the different needs of workers are disregarded, so that the class that lives from work is perceived only by their economic performance, which contributes to the precariousness of their work activities and also their immediate conditions of existence. From the theoretical-methodological approach of the dialogical discourse analysis, based on Bakhtinian architecture, the research points to the need for overcoming of the elitist discourses that imposes the ideology of work. Craving to value the time to live, it demonstrates that the working class needs to reconstruct a utopia that is capable of leading it, if not the prospect of overcoming heteronomous work, at least to building consensus aimed at reducing the time dedicated to this activity, currently colonized by the irrational rationality of capital.
