Nova biblioteca municipal de Araucária

Abstract

The present architectural project of a new headquarters for the municipal library of the city of Araucária. The proposal came from the verification of the lack of a space that encourages a reading and a culture in the city, in order to contribute to a relationship between the community and the municipality. Therefore, the present research addresses the concept of library, its importance, characteristics and principles, in order to provide the basis for the development of the work. We also analyze some related studies, which are revealed for the later project. Finally, after the collection of data and information about a city of Araucária, it is possible to determine the land for installation of the new library, as well as guidelines, must be fulfilled for the development of the project.
