dc.description.abstractOver the years, many types of sidewalk coatings have been present in the area of paving applied to civil engineering, currently, among the various types of flexible sidewalks existing today, the flexible sidewalk made based on hot-machined asphalt concrete is present in approximately, 99% of Brazilian highways, whose main material is given by the use of asphalt binder – petroleum asphalt cement (PAC), whose material is derived from crude oil, whose pricing has suffered major impacts in recent years, resulting in large increases due to crises and economic situations that the world has been suffering from development. In this way, it is important to make roads that are able to resist longer times, based on safety and performance. To make this type of sidewalk, there is the insertion of granular materials such as fine and coarse aggregate and the filler material, which have great responsibility for the performance of the structure of CBUQ. Currently, there are several methodologies for determining the concentration of these materials for making the CBUQ, however, the method that prevails is by attempts, thus, it is noted the presence of errors facing this method of aggregate dosage, so that the asphalt concrete may suffer or may not be able to achieve its performance characteristics and safety necessary for application in urban roads. Based on this principle, making use of Operations Research techniques, this work aims to develop linear programming models that are governed by Brazilian standards relevant to the materials used for the preparation of the CBUQ, based on three different objectives, in order to determine the optimal dosage of these materials based on the aggregates granulometry test. The mathematical models were implemented computationally, providing optimal results for the existing tests in this course completion work.
