Understanding the behavior of precipitations and what this implies directly and indirectly in the life of the population, is extremely important for short, medium and long term actions to be developed and contribute to the economic and sustainable development of a society. Therefore, the present study aimed to quantitatively analyze the historical series of rainfall between 1976 and 2020 in the municipality of RoncadorPR, through the daily, monthly, seasonal, annual and interannual scale, and through the test Mann (1945) and Kendall (1975) obtain the tendency for the total annual precipitation and the total amount of rainy days. The evaluation of the data showed that only 16% of the years analyzed have precipitation above the historical average of 1949.7 mm, with the years 2013 and 2016 being the rainiest and 1988 and 1999 the driest. According to the "standard years" determination, he observed that the number of dry years was greater when compared to rainy years. Summer and spring were the seasons with the highest rainfall averages 565.6 and 569.4 mm respectively. With regard to daily rainfall, it was found that the monthly average is eight days with rain and the months of July and August had the lowest number of days with rain. The annual average of rainy days was 93 days. The trend analysis did not detect an increase in the total annual precipitation, but a significant trend was found in the reduction of the number of rainy days, that is, the rains are more concentrated in the study area.
