dc.description.abstractWhen considering that the process of strategic planning by higher education institutions has become an essential tool for raising the competitiveness of these organizations on effective market growth, this research project proposes a strategic planning tool to support the manager of an institution private higher education. This project has as a problem, as the man-sector support by private institutions in activities related to strategic planning of these institutions. The classification of this research, in view of its objectives, classifies itself as descriptive research. In order to address the problem, this research can be classified as qualitative. In relation to the procedures and methodology employed for data collection, research is to be treated as literature and field. The sample consists of trial, initially, two teachers for the completion of the simulation tool, and then made this side of the validation by higher education institutions directly with managers or specialists in the field, composed of three teachers. It will present a proposal for structuring the tool created, the first version, the suggestions and comments from managers, and the final version of the tool. Finally, upon the advice of specialists, there is a tool that supports the institution in the establishment of strategic planning.
