dc.description.abstractThe use of technology in the classroom still presents a major challenge for many teachers. Several studies report the educational potential of technology for teaching and learning and what pedagogical actions can influence this process. Thus, this study aimed to verify the Math Teacher profile of western Parana region against the use of software. To identify this profile was prepared a questionnaire with eleven questions, which related to sex, age, working time with math discipline, it makes use of some technology, use of software in the classroom, how students behave when using software, and what are the main difficulties encountered by the teacher to use software in their classes. The survey was conducted with 123 primary school teachers of public schools in the western region of Paraná. After tabulating the data, we used Excel software and realized the construction of graphic to better represent the data. The results found through the questionnaire with regard to teaching time teaching mathematics discipline was 4-6 years, about 66% use some form of technology in the classroom. Regarding the use of software about 61% of teachers do not use. The main difficulties faced by teachers are related to the infrastructure of schools and the insecurity of software use.
