dc.description.abstract | An amendment in the Law of Directives and Basis for National Education (LBDEM) – The act 10.639/2003 - represented a turning point while being the public policy which included the African history and culture in school curriculums. Although being active for 15 years, there have been some difficulties in the attainment of this polity in didactic and pedagogical terms in the horizon of all different subjects which embody, according to LBDEM, the national common base. For that matter, the objectivity of this study was to evaluate the development of the 10.639/2003 act from the perspective of the investigated groups in terms of the aspects related with the racial-ethnic themes. The methodology was consisted of a field research and a data survey structured interview through an online questionnaire containing mixed questions (text and multiple choices) for a group of former primary school´ students. There was also taken into account a qualitative analysis, a University extension action with the high school freshmen students from a public school in the city of Londrina - Paraná (Brazil). The theoretical foundation involved the racial-ethnic public policies, conceptual and educational aspects of Education. That foundation associated with the Theory of the Science of History by Rüsen, allowed an epistemological reflection about the need of the public policy´s evaluation to reorient a lack of direction, which was the key part of the making for a book as an educational product which in unison with the issues brought on board by the research held, throughout its process, procedural and attitudinal actions that would have as a result recognition, valuation and support with the ethnic-racial diversity and an anti-racism combat as a social inclusion praxis and citizenship, having in an educational context all ethnic groups that shape what is famously known as being Brazilian. | |
