Análise da coleta seletiva dos descartes da população de Alto Paraná - PR

Abstract

In this study the main goal was to investigate how features and how relationships formed to management and management of the selective collection of solid waste from the city of Alto Paraná program works, regarded this as a promotional strategy to generate jobs and income, social inclusion and citizenship for those involved in solid waste management. To achieve this purpose, but without exhausting the subject, which is complex and comprehensive, the following specific objectives were defined: (1) Identify and analyze the institutional arrangement prepared for management and management of the selective collection program; (2) Identify the challenges and limitations encountered in the planning and management of the selective collection program, and finally, (3) Characterize the environmental, social and economic impacts of the selective collection program. The research methodology employed is based on a qualitative approach of theoretical and empirical, which uses as a research method case study. Data collection occurred through bibliographic research, desk research and interviews with key actors involved in the management of selective collection program of the municipality. According to the results, it appears that the selective collection program High Arana presents institutional weakness manifested mainly by the discontinuity of their actions, and that, when they happen, are isolated and disconnected the environmental, socioeconomic and political dimensions besides the difficulty regarding the source of stable and secure financial resources, which limit and compromise their effectiveness and sustainability.
