Análise e demonstração teórica dos leilões de compra de energia elétrica no Brasil

Abstract

Regulated power generation and transmission auctions play a central role in the Brazilian Electric Sector and are the center of an established arrangement to coordinate the expansion of the sector. Because of its importance to the industry, it is crucial that the auctioning system be carefully designed and implemented to ensure the expansion and efficient operation of the system. This paper aims to demonstrate the importance of this hiring mechanism, adopted since 2004, in the current scenario of electric power in Brazil, and to show the results and changes that occurred in the sector after its implementation.
