dc.description.abstractIn this work it was studied the deposition, by the GTAW process with a device adapted for the deposition of metallic powder called (GTAW – P), using a Ni-Al alloy deposited in 1020 carbon steel substrates. The specimens were subjected to Vickers microhardness test (and they reached a value considerably above those found in the literature, which can be compared to coating obtained by PTA-P).Optical Microscopy analysis, and X-ray difratometry, which pointed the presence of Ni3Al and NiAl intermetallics, pointing a possible use of the GTAW process with the device adapted for the deposition of metallic powder for obtaining coatings with high temperature strength, making(GTAW - P) an alternative to obtain this type of coating.
