The aluminum and its alloys are gaining space in the various segments of the industry. This is due to its physical and chemical characteristics that allow its use in several applications. Even the aluminum, with excellent recyclability, with advantages over the primary process, the rates of recycling of this material are still low. This is visible by the low levels of recycling achieved, especially for products produced by the packaging industry, which have a low life cycle and typically employ aluminum laminated with thin sheets (aluminum). One factor that directly influences the production costs of the minor leagues are the prices of scrap that do not follow industry standards, but are imposed by large recycling plants or by intermediary actors that inflate the market (scrap). Thus, small companies looking for recycle aluminum scrap locally produced face competition from large recycling plants and the major producers of primary aluminum, so need to find alternatives to achieve better financial results and production. In this regard, a study to propose a procedure to evaluate the production of secondary aluminum alloys it is necessary. This study sought to understand the market for aluminum, regionally, analyzing the profitability and productivity achieved in the production of secondary aluminum alloys required. We used the scraps available in the study region to produce alloys by means of a pilot scale. 669 races were held that produced nine different patterns of commercial alloys, a total of 32.9 tons of alloys in the form of ingots. For production, rose: the demand, the need for regional availability of scrap and alloys to produce alloys of defendants. The study found that the use of thin sheets, alternative materials, low perceived value by the market of scrap, increases productivity levels and profitability in the production of secondary aluminum alloys. On the other hand, groups of scrap valued in the regional market, tended to reduce profitability and productivity through its addition of loads.
