Estudo e gerenciamento de resíduos de construção e demolição (RCD’s) em uma unidade coletora na cidade de Campo Mourão – PR

Abstract

This paper addresses the issue of Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW's) generated by the construction expansion in Campo Mourão-PR town. A technique that has mitigated the environmental impacts caused by the CDW's and produced benefits for enterprises is the use of the three R's principle. Thus, the objective of this study is to analyze the origin of the waste received by the Campo Mourão plant collector to quantify, classify and verify their management. Also, compare statistical data on construction/expansion and renovation registered in the city hall data base of Campo Mourão between 2005 and 2011, with those collected at the plant during the period between 2009 and 2011. After a field survey, we found that the majority of the waste received by the plant collector (70%) comes from the civil construction sector, being 33% of new buildings and 37% of demolition, having the plant received in this period, A and B residue classes according to CONAMA Resolution 307/2002.
