Projeto de uma máquina para a análise da eficiência de lubrificantes em rolamentos radiais

Abstract

This study aimed at the development of a testing machine for the efficiency of lubricants in radial bearings, in order to allow Vale and UTFPR students greater access to knowledge about the behavior of these lubricants, which is, in general, kept in secrecy by the manufacturers of bearings. The elaboration of this work involved a deepening of knowledge in several areas of mechanical engineering, like development of projects, machine elements, structural mechanics, materials, etc. For this, a survey of the state of the art was carried out, showing similar existing devices and a technical review on the bearings, which aimed to highlight the main problems associated with the development of the machine. Based on this information, a set of design requirements and their respective possible solutions were obtained, which were analyzed based on economic and technical aspects and led to the machine design proposal presented in this work.
