dc.description.abstractThis study approaches the theme of textual genres in their relationship with the religious discursive domain in the field of Roman Catholic Christianity. Through the elaboration of a digital dictionary, thirty genres have been selected and made available to teachers and students of basic education in the subjects of Languages, History and Religion, students of regular and free courses in Theology, as well as to the general public. The theoretical foundation is developed from authors who originated and deepened the Theory of Textual Genres with their concepts of textual genre, hypergenre, discursive domain and support, as well as authors who substantiate theoretical investigation, reflection and the composition of dictionaries. The methodological procedures used in the application of the educational product have its foundation on the principles of qualitative research, typical of the educational area, as well as field research with a group of thirtytwo students from a free course in Theology for lay Catholics. During four meetings held in remote online mode via the Google Meet platform, students from different social conditions and levels of education were able, at first, to get to know the Theory of Textual Genres and recognize different textual genres present in the practices of Catholic religiosity. In a second moment, the group of students could explore and use the educational product, both for research guided by the researcher and for free research according to personal interest in the different genres presented. The results obtained proved the usefulness and functionality of the educational product.
