dc.description.abstractStaff roatativity or turnover can cause different harm to organizations, be they financial or social. The objective of this study was to identify the determining factors for the dismissals of the employees of an agribusiness cooperative located in the Southwest of Paraná. For this purpose, the case study method was used. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire applied to 22 employees of the cooperative sowing unit to respond to the specific objectives: characterize cooperative employees; identify the factors considered as the main cause of permanence and dismissal in the employees' perception; verify the employees' perceptions about the cooperative. The results of the research indicate that the causes of turnover may be related to several factors, such as growth opportunity, wage factor, organizational environment, leadership model and professional recognition. Therefore, it is suggested to review, among other variables, the salary and benefits policy, to opportune the rise in the company and to provide a favorable organizational climate that generates well-being, satisfaction and commitment to the organization.
