dc.description.abstractThe agricultural machines efficiency and productivity is very important for the agriculture. Therefore is crucial that all equipments and devices feature good operational conditions, working with high efficiency and income. In this context, it was made a study inside a facility that manufactures agricultural machines involving the improvement of a tractor air-cleaner system, once that there was reported by a client a recurrence of an air-cleaner short life time. This project aims to create an alternative for the current air-cleaner equipments set, that wasn't so far efficient enough for agricultural standards, according to ISO 5011. The primary air-cleaner used to feature a life cycle 6 times above than the normal ones, so the agricultural activities stops for exchange and maintenance were more recurrent than usual, apart from the spending with new filters each exchange. To make this improvement, some possibilities of failures that could have happened were considered and then observed the one that caused the air-cleaner short life cycle problem was the pre-cleaner, since it was not featuring a satisfactory efficiency. Aware of it, some solutions for replacement of the pre-cleaner were proposed for the supplier it was sought a solution that presented the best efficiency conditions and acceptance from the client, with the contribution from our supplier for efficiency try-outs. Lastly it was presented a solution that combines best price, efficiency, appearance and client satisfaction.
