dc.description.abstract | Considering the growth of the industrial segment of pesticides in the country and the impacts that their production causes on the environment, it is essential the use of more sustainable processes that allow the reinsertion of waste in the production cycle. Therefore, this work proposes the use of simple distillation to recover water and consequently minimize the generation of effluents from an herbicide industry plant, reducing the costs and impacts of the process. This work used Excel as an auxiliary tool and with property data from the literature quantified the energy required to perform the distillation and subsequently the costs for this. The analyses performed here showed that the proposed recovery proved to be attractive environmentally by the reduction of water depletion impacts, human toxicity, climate change, and depletion of fossil fuels, and also economically since its implementation should economize 80% in relation to the current disposal method of this effluent. | |
