dc.description.abstractThe maintenance activity is responsible for the availability of productive assets. In this way, it represents an indispensable role for the productive sector. The increasing use of automated means and precise operational functions makes the availability of productive items a priority. This prioritization is made according to the criticality of the items that constitute the production lines, whose fundamental criteria for defining it are mostly subjective or interfered with by the decision maker's own preferences. The multicriteria analysis emerges as an efficient alternative, able to reduce the uncertainty of decision making and to systematize the variables that interfere in the decision to be made. This paper presents a model suggestion in order to obtain the most critical machine components on the production line, which means machine components of items that are more likely to directly affect the availability of the machining line, within an automotive company. The model was performed using multi-criteria analysis, using the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations) methods, and will be based on OLE (Overall Line Efficiency) and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair). The definition of the criticality of the components of the productive items can be established according to the indication of the maintenance specialists, together with the management policy adopted by the company for decision making. The results show that the multicriteria analysis can be a strategy tool in the automotive industry, making the analysis according to different real or analytical scenarios, helping strongly in the decision making.
