Estudo de turbinas para hidrelétrica de Roncador: Bocaiúva do Sul

Abstract

In a meeting on September 27th, 2010 between the Curitiba Campus of the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR) and the City Bocaiúva do Sul-Paraná, was signed an Agreement for the creation of an Environmental Education Center in the city, which includes the deployment of a hydroelectric plant with didactic purposes. The work presented deals with the studies of the turbines that will be applied at the power plant. It Will be exposed the history of the turbines, their functions in an objective ways and capacities of electricity generation based on hydrological data collected in previous studies. Besides the didactic benefits to the UTFPR and their students, since they can combine theory and practice, the region of Bocaiúva will be revitalized and developed, considering that it is completely abandoned and unprofitable.
