dc.description.abstractThe objective of this work is the implementation of wind system, from the modelling of wind turbine until the power extraction to the grid, based on back-to-back converter. It is used a squirrel cage induction generator because it has economic advantages and it is easily found commercially. The paper presents all control strategy to the grid converter and the generator converter. This work implements a vector control that use just two current sensors and it has a strategy to estimate the voltage terminals machine, rotor flux and the rotor speed, reducing the number of sensors for this control. A prototype was developed to validate these strategies. The main results are presented to demonstrate the estimations and the system operating as generator.
