dc.description.abstractThis work aims to study the heat and geometric optics from the handling of a conical solar cooker. For this, a composed educational product was developed by a didactic sequence focusing on the creation of experiments handled by students, in order to improve the visualization of physical phenomena in their school and daily practice. The problematization arose from the difficulties of maintaining students' interest and cohesion for the teaching of Physics, for this reason, the justification for the use of meaningful learning arises, bringing students closer to the theory and practice of content related to heat exchanges and geometric optics. The methodology used was based on the application of pre-test and post-test, with descriptive and objective questions, qualitative and quantitative, which contributed to make a diagnosis of the students' initial and posterior knowledge. The didactic sequence consists of six activities involving theory and practice of developing experiments. It can be observed, during the application of the educational product, that the students were motivated by the use of the experiments. Comparing the results of the pre and posttests, an increase in the number of correct answers of the questions can be observed after the application of the activities.
