Disseminação de uma tecnologia de baixo custo para aquecimento de água utilizando energia solar em uma escola da periferia de Curitiba-PR

Abstract

This work presents a study how to spread a low-cost technology for water heating using solar energy, focusing on low-income communities. Discusses how the use of electric showers is a major consumer of electricity in a residence and the costs that this may lead to the household economy. Show concepts about solar energy and its characteristics. Presents conventional technologies for water heating by solar energy, as well as its currently used models. Presents the low-cost technologies for water heating by solar energy, focusing on the heater mounted with disposable materials (plastic bottles and milk cartons). Presents a field project carried out with the assembly and the data measurement in a solar low-cost heater prototype. Complemented by an outreach program for low-income community about this lowcost technology, the study was conducted through the installation and exhibition of a solar low-cost heater made with disposable materials in a school on the outskirts of Curitiba. The study brings the real interest as a result of people learn about the system and its benefits, in order to apply it in their homes.
