dc.description.abstract | Rural roads are important works for the socioeconomic development of a region, however, much of the rural road system does not have good condition trafficability. This work analyzed the trafficability of a rural road located in the municipality of Toledo, Paraná, in the district of Vila Nova. The section selected for study was the Linha Peabiru I, composed of approximately for 2.4 km of unpaved road and 1.5 km of paved road. Using the method proposed by Baesso and Golçalves (2003) for the test of the unpaved stretch and the Norms of DNIT 005/2003 - Terminology and 006/2003 - Procedure for analysis of the paved stretch. The defects that influenced the rolling surface conditions of the roads were raised and evaluated the severity of each section, both paved and unpaved. In addition, interviews were conducted with local residents who daily use the road. It was concluded that the paved section under study has a Good classification and the unpaved section Regular classification. It is recommended that the section go through maintenance to avoid the worsening of the situation in order to provide greater durability and comfort to users, in addition to reducing maintenance costs by the public sector. | |
