Abstract

In some applications involving reliability and availability studies, it is possible to use specifics mathematics tools to make decisions. This work has as objective show how is conducted an unavailability analysis using some reliability tools such as: Degradation Analysis, Life data Analysis and RAM Analysis. Beside this, is possible to check a case of study that is implement on a Beverage Industry Business. At this experience, the reliability concepts are useful to recognize the failure mechanism and determine the right time to replace the machinery parts. Despite this, the industries areas are able to check the availability results after the reliability implementation program. As a result, after the project implementation, the decrease in unavailability was around 15% on a case of study – an empty bottle inspection machine.
