Seed treatment aims to ensure the sanitary quality of seeds, which, in addition to acting against theinitial attack of pathogens, protects the plant during the germination and emergence process. Theobjective of this work was to evaluate the action of potassium phosphite and manganese phosphiteon the protective action of fungi of natural occurrence of corn in field and storage conditions(Fusarium spp., Rhizopus spp., Penicillium spp.; Apsergillus spp.), Comparing it with a controltreatment in distilled water and another in conventional fungicide for seed treatment. The work wascarried out in the phytosanitary laboratory of the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná(UTFPR) Campus Dois Vizinhos, using two native corn varieties, one from Santa Catarina andanother from Capanema in the state of Paraná. The design was completely randomized (CRD) witheight replicates, each treatment was composed of eight replicates, and each experimental plotconsisted of 25 corn seeds, evaluated in Gerbox[marca registrada] boxes over 7 days. For the evaluation wasperformed the counting of seeds infected by the fungus by repetition, this data was transformedintopercentages as it was also evaluated through the Kruskal-Wallis test. The values of Mean of sum ofstations, Difference between combinations, and Critical Difference were considered for comparison. Potassium Phosphate proved to be efficient in the control of Fusarium spp., Rhizopus spp.,Aspergillus spp., controlling Penicillium spp only in the amarelo variety. The manganese phosphateshowed efficient control of only Rhizopus spp. For both varieties, and adequate control of Fusariumspp only for the vermelho variety.
