dc.description.abstract | In the course of time, the increasing fleet of internal combustion vehicle has been a major contributor to the degradation of the environment, this fact has promoted studies and development of automotive technologies in order to minimize the environmental damages caused by this sector. The main one is the electric vehicle, which uses one or several electric motors, it has a better energy efficiency than the internal combustion engine. Moreover, several models of electric motors can be used as a traction motor and there are several configurations regarding the position of the motors. Thus, this work presents alternatives and configurations that better adjust to the electric vehicles, providing a reduced energy expenditure and consequently, it causes an increase in battery autonomy, a factor that is still a limit in this kind of vehicle in order to it becomes competitive with internal combustion vehicles. The study of different models of the electric motor and different configurations of electric vehicles was performed on the Advisor simulation tool along with Simulink/Matlab and the results obtained in this work shows which is the most appropriate electric motor to the application and which is the best positioning of the motors in the electric car. | |
