Abstract

The Southwest of the Paraná State presents areas whose soil are formed by the weathering of acid igneous rocks such an Riolites and Riodacites. One of these regions is the Palmas Plateau, where soils are poorly developed and presents high levels of organic matter and aluminium. In this sense, the present study aims to elaborate the soil map of the Southern region of the Palmas Plateau, through the interpretation of mosaics generated from Sentinel 2-A images, slope and hypsometric maps generated by digital elevation model and compilation of soil data generated in past studies in the region. In general, the soils described in the region are, under pedological view point, underdeveloped. The predominant soil classes in the region are: Cambissolo Háplico Alumínico típicos, Cambissolo Húmico Alumínico típicos, Cambissolo Háplico Ta Distrofico típico, Neossolo Regolítico Distrófico típico, Nitossolo Háplico Distrófico Típico, Latossolo Vermelho Distrófico Típico, Latossolo Amarelo Alumínico Típico.
