dc.description.abstractThe use of by-products seeks to destine materials that have nutritiona lpotential for animal feed, and also seeks to avoid environmental problems by discarding these materials. The present study will be conducted at the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná - Campus Dois Vizinhos, with the objective of evaluating the inclusion of apple and yeast bagasse, which will be divided into 5 blocks with 5 treatments and 3 replicates of each treatment. The inclusion levels will be 1%, 2%, 5%, 10%, of the weight of the sample to be ensiled from apple bagasse and yeast addition being 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% of the sample weight, and the addition of the same amounts of yeast in treatments with 2%, 5% and 10% apple bagasse. The parameters analyzed toverify the quality of silage were (DM, NDF, ADF, MM, MO, pH and buffer capacity), with which it was verified that the addition of 10% apple pomace proves to be a good additive, and yeast when added to the 2% level also brings positive results in the analyzed parameters, and the interaction of treatments with higher apple and yeast addition levels are an alternative for silage production.
