Recycling is an important process for sustainability and waste picker cooperatives play a fundamental role in this context, as environmental, social and economic aspects converge through the work of the members. The municipality of Campo Mourão - PR has a selective waste collection program carried out under the responsibility of the public urban cleaning service. Of the recyclable materials collected, part is destined for the Solidarity Residual Cooperative (Cooperesíduos) and part for the Vila Guarujá Recyclable Workers Association (Associguá). The present work aimed to present an overview of the recyclable solid waste sold by Cooperesneros. For the analysis we considered data from recyclable materials for 2017 and 2018, which are classified in the present research in five classes: paper, glass, plastic, metal and others. With the results obtained, it was possible to associate the percentage representation of each recyclable material with its economic yield, showing that the one that has the highest representativeness in tons, is not necessarily the one with the highest financial return. Of the recyclables sold by Cooperes Residues, in terms of amount of waste (tons) paper is the material that had the largest representation, 40% in 2017 and 46% in 2018; followed by plastic 38% in 2017 and 45% in 2018. When analyzed in terms of financial return, plastic is the one with the highest yield (38%), followed by paper (34%) for 2017; and plastic (45%), followed by paper (33%) for 2018. Part of the waste that Cooperes Residues receives is disposed of as waste (11.14% in 2017, 10.8% in 2018). It follows that, just as waste is disposed of as recyclable, recyclable materials are also improperly disposed of. Information on municipal solid waste collection needs to be reinforced for it to become increasingly efficient.
