dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a study about a new area of expertise in mobile computing known as "Wearable Computing". This technology can be exemplified as an electronic device attached to the body of a person through an accessory, sensor or clothing providing greater freedom movements and improved ease of operation of the device. For example, using equipment attached to the body with wireless technology allows the user to have both hands free for other activities allowing other tasks simultaneously. Presented in this paper is a brief history of the "Wearable Computing", its applications, products and new trends, as well as technical demonstration of the operation of this technology.
