dc.description.abstractSince the opening of the Brazilian market to foreign products in the 1990 decade, companies have been looking for tools that help them improve their performance against their competitors. One of these tools, is the importance-performance matrix. This matrix divides its valuation items into two parameters, as its name presents, importance and performance. One of this tool features is the malleability, which makes this tool flexible and can be used in several areas of the management. This research aims to analyze the levels of importance and performance among four factors that directly affect the productivity of the sectors of a aluminum frame industry, which are the management system, communication via e-mail, speed of information exchange and tools available for work. And, for data collection, a form was sent to industry employees with the purpose of evaluating the mentioned factors. With a high employee participation rate, the matrix application proved to be an agile evaluation tool. The analysis identified that there are important changes to be made to improve the work routine, especially to the items located in the urgent action area of the matrix, among which is the factor A - Management System, which requires changes with high priority, because the software is not reaching the needs and is harming the productivity of its employees.
