dc.description.abstractThis bibliographic review work aims to analyze the influence of technology in science education and its interactions with the social, historical, school environment, academic labor market, and in the education of education professionals. The nature of this work was basic, as for the objectives was characterized as exploratory and case study. This study aims to clarify and exemplify the origin, functionalities and evolution of Communication Technologies­ICTs and Science, Technology and Society­CTS, in the educational environment and their contributions in science, and how they can still help in the educational environment. Through the literature review, it was possible to approach the relationship between technology and science teaching evidenced in the National Curriculum Parameters and the Common National Curricular Base. There was also a reflection on the concept and history of technology in relation to education. This work pointed out the analogy of technologies and science with pedagogical practices, with teachers, students, the school, the labor market and the evolution of technology. By addressing the aforementioned topics, it is worth clarifying that technologies can be present in an updated and integrated way in science education when using videos, audios, images, projectors, internet, smartphones, notebooks, computers, tablets, and with their practices to promote an active and attractive education, motivating students and minimizing their difficulties, promoting interesting teaching, as well as stimulating critical thinking and preparing students to face the demands that the job market and life demand.
