dc.description.abstractThe rural exodus, a migration phenomenon from rural to urban areas, accelerated in the 1950s and resulted in population concentration in large urban centers. Despite being stabilizing, this process led to the disorderly growth of cities and the overvaluation of real estate in the central regions, causing a large part of the workforce to occupy peripheral places and, consequently, more distant from the areas with the higher amount of job offers. The number and distance increase of displacements leads to major challenges in the urban road planning system. In this context, the Collective Public Transport Systems (in Portuguese, STPC) emerge as an alternative for urban mobility. In order for them to function efficiently, STPCs need an efficient terminal, so that the operation of embarking and disembarking passengers takes place safely and with the least possible loss of time. In this work, it was carried out an analysis of the Municipality of Pato Branco (PR) Urban Passenger Terminal Project , identifying its conformity in relation to the parameters required in technical manuals in national and international literature. Regarding the aspects evaluated, such as access controls, passenger circulation, vehicle circulation and waiting, it was observed that the critical factor is the overload of bus berths in the current hourly configuration of the lines in operation. As a mitigation measure, an in-depth study of the berths shared between the lines is recommended, considering the type of vehicle used and timetable, paying attention to the limitations imposed by the geometric characteristics of the project.
