Operação de risco com a polícia no combate a criminalidade: a legitimação da violência policial por meio do discurso

Abstract

The present essay is related to discourse analysis area in the way it focus in analysing the speeches that are veiled in the Operação de Risco show that is broadcasted by RedeTV, with the goal to identify the mechanisms in which the ideology constitutes discourses of approval regarding police brutality as legit acts of the military police forces. For this, a bibliographical review was carried out with the purpose of drawing a historical line of the constitution of the military police subjects as a public institution, as well as in relation to the concept of ideology using discussions about this concept realized by Chauí (1994) and Thompson (2011) seeking to evidence that the discourse is one of the political territories in dispute, deconstructing the discourses of neutrality propagated by the mainstream media, as well as introducing on the subject of Human Rights in the scope of the language of the language. It was still used the concepts of Foucault (2008, 2013, 2014) on the subject, discourse, discursive formation and a discussion on the power relation on his work. And, finally, an analysis of the speeches that are veiled in the show was developed, allowing to identify which strategies were used for the propagation of these speeches, as well the strategies used on the bodydiscourse- power relation as a mechanism to sustain the power relations. As results, the analyzes demonstrate how the media uses discourses to disseminate its own ideology, legitimizing the arbitrary violence carried out by agents of the State.
