dc.description.abstract | From the beginning there is difficulty in engineering in obtaining some physical quantities and geometric properties of various applications. The approach of inverse problems enables the study of causes based on the values of the effects, thereby addressing the need of obtaining parameters that are unknowns by quantities that can be measured. This study aims to validate a model, based on the theory of finite elements for a cantilever beam of Euler-Bernoulli. The model in this present work is designed using MATLAB with defined parameters and the values of its natural frequencies are obtained. In order to validate this model, an optimizer program is implemented to the problem, using the Heuristic Method of Differential Evolution. After minimizing the differences between the original frequencies of the model and the calculated values generated by optimizer the parameter values are found. The estimated values are finally compared with the expected and a good match was observed. | |
