| dc.description.abstract | The work presents the project and construction of a support structure for a centrifugal extractor fan. Some basic models were elaborated using SolidWorks® 2013. It was developed numerical studies using the software Ansys® 14.0 with the objective of a better definition for the model structure. The numerical study using that software made possible to accomplish studies on mechanical vibrations, modal analyses and finite elements. The selected model went through continual improvement that corrected fragility points, and also avoided resonance process during extractor fan engine start up. The construction stage started after project conclusion and that involved: metal sheet cutting, support structure welding, rotor adaptation and complete structure assembly. | |
