dc.description.abstract | Amid the wide use of mortars and concretes in civil construction and the need to obtain materials with quality and resistance to a compatible value, this work presents the study of a mortar dosage containing mineral additions with determined quantities from the modified Chapelle test. The test basically deals with the quantification of the pozzolanic activity of the material, resulting in the optimized dosage of the addition in order to consume all the calcium hydroxide of the mixture. Once the mortar test specimens have been established, the analysis of the interference of the increase of the active silica, metakaolin and rice hull ash in two properties of fundamental importance to the constructive elements has been established: The compressive strength and porosity. The obtained data presented values statistically different for the resistance to compression besides the value of the total porosity of each one of the samples and porosimetric curves for the materials tested. | |
