This monograph show the mapping of industrial automation integrated on an equipment that compress gas to apply on petrochemical process of quality improvement of petroleum products. The research have a scientific applied nature, descriptive and elucidative, because consist on map technologies used on control and monitoring the compressor operation, as well as identify the relations that exists between this equipment and the process unit with the objective of both, process unit and compressor, operates together on a safety and reliable meaner. On the conclusions will be show the details of each step made to reach the objective of operates the equipment and which are the relations establish between automation fundamental theories and the conditions of field appliance.
