| dc.description.abstract | Accessibility aims to ensure, to any individual, whether he/she is handicap or not, or with reduced mobility, free access and use of the environment, media and information contributing to social inclusion, sustainable development and independence and improvement in quality of life. Therefore, the study and implementation of accessibility becomes indispensable to any location or area, including public places and parks, since they intent to socializing, a environment for entertainment and sports practice. There was held a study of the current status of accessibility of some items of this particular Park – Praça Bento Munhoz da Rocha Neto, such as stairs, ramps, sidewalk and raised beds, with its irregularities according is established in Brazilian Standards NBR 9050/2004 - Accessibility to buildings, furniture, equipment and urban areas. After surveys of the dada, a proposal to adjust these items based on the Brazilian standard was held as a way to resolve the irregularities found at that Park, which prevent people make the best use of it. This proposal is made available through projects of each item mention listed above, analyzed, and after will be forwarded in the form of document to the authorities of the municipality for its possible implementation. With the completion of these adjustments in the Praça Munhoz Bento da Rocha Netto, the municipality of Campo Mourão - PR, among other changes which were not mentioned in this study, but are necessary, will make this place a possible park with accessibility for everyone. Therefore it is important a larger initiative to both population and public policy of Campo Mourão, which makes of this Park a postcard of the city. | |
