Proposta de aplicação dos princípios de gestão da qualidade visando a longevidade em uma empresa familiar - estudo de caso: empresa de locação de elevadores automotivos

Abstract

At this time, a lot is said about the use of quality oriented strategies and their benefits within organizations. However, it is still needed to understand how small companies, mainly those with family management model, can benefit from this quality oriented strategies. Noticing the lack of discussions regarding this range of companies, the authors of this paper motivated to build a proposal of application of the quality management principles, to support the creation of a succession plan, for business in the standards described. In this paper, a bibliographic review was conducted, embracing the nature of family businesses, company’s longevity and also the definition of quality management systems. After this review, it was conducted a case study, to analyze a small family business located on Curitiba, which currently wants to creates a succession plan. Finally, by crossing the given data on the study and the parameters presented on the bibliographical review, it was a created a proposal of application of the quality management principles presented by ISO 9000.
