The layout study is a fundamental theme for an organization's strategy, addressed primarily during the planning and implementation stages of a new company, or installation of new equipment, whether in small, medium or large organizations. Great importance for optimizing physical space and maintaining a continuous flow production and ensuring that products have a high productivity. This study was applied to a company in the electronics sector in the city of Pato Branco in the State of Paraná, with the purpose of presenting a proposal for the redesign of a Lead Free product line (products that do not have the element Lead in its process of manufacturing), and to reduce the displacements applied to the products of this production line. The displacements were computed using the spaghetti diagram technique and the alternative presented showed a considerable reduction. Consequently a better flow of materials in production was obtained. Four models of physical arrangements (linear, by process, cellular and mixed) were analyzed and the model that best matches the characteristics of the company was verified, thus identifying the mixed layout as the most adequate, since it presented a reduction of 62% in the displacement between the stations.
