dc.description.abstract | Aiming for a power factor correction, this study is proposed for an analogically controlled rectfier, using the boost topology, acting in continuous conduction mode. Utilizing the widely used integrated circuit UC3854 for a high power factor and a low harmonic index, a circuit capable of converting alternated current without wasting energy of the network and creating a DC bus, operating within the norm, is desired. The study is based on mathematical models and simulations to prove na improvement in power factor and decrease in harmonic distortion. | |
